Full-endoscopic Foraminotomy in Degenerative Spondylolisthesis: A “Module-based” Approach for Surgical Planning and Execution

چکیده
Purpose Degenerative Lumbar Spondylolisthesis (DSL) is a common spinal pathology characterized by the anterior slippage of one vertebral body on another. DSL caused mainly degeneration intervertebral disc in first place, with subsequent facet joints that end causing slippage. As disease evolves, stability restored as result advanced and collapse. But while this natural evolution takes may produce radicular symptoms different mechanisms. To present “module-based” approach for surgical planning execution full-endoscopic foraminotomy DSL, combined case examples most scenarios. Methods We propose “module-based surgery” using standard endoscopic technique baseline. According to patient’s clinical imaging characteristics, several “modules” can be added. The resulting surgery summation basic plus all additional required modules. ResultsSurgical modules description are provided. ConclusionTransforaminal lumbar represents minimally invasive treat foraminal foraminal-lateral recess stenosis. its multiple scenarios represent challenge surgeon. Module-based help systematize execute these demanding procedures.

Surgical Outcome of Reduction and Instrumented Fusion in Lumbar Degenerative Spondylolisthesis
Background: Lumbar degenerative spondylolisthesis (LDS) is a degenerative slippage of the lumbar vertebrae. We aimed to evaluate the surgical outcome of degenerative spondylolisthesis with neural decompression, pedicular screw fixation, reduction, and posterolateral fusion. Methods: This before-after study was carried out on 45 patients (37 female and 8 male) with LDS operated from August 2008 t...
متن کاملSurgical management of lumbar degenerative spondylolisthesis.
Lumbar degenerative spondylolisthesis (DS) is a common cause of low back pain, radiculopathy, and/or neurogenic claudication. Treatment begins with a trial of nonsurgical methods, including physical therapy, NSAIDs, and epidural corticosteroid injections. Surgical treatment with decompression and fusion is recommended for patients who do not respond to this initial regimen. Although much has be...

STUDY DESIGN A questionnaire survey. OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to determine the effect of patient age, dynamic instability, and/or low back pain on the treatment of patients with a degenerative spondylolisthesis, and if the operative approach is affected by surgeon specialty, location, or practice model. SUMMARY OF BACKGROUND DATA The classic treatment for patients with symptomati...
متن کاملSurgical versus nonsurgical treatment for lumbar degenerative spondylolisthesis.
BACKGROUND Management of degenerative spondylolisthesis with spinal stenosis is controversial. Surgery is widely used, but its effectiveness in comparison with that of nonsurgical treatment has not been demonstrated in controlled trials. METHODS Surgical candidates from 13 centers in 11 U.S. states who had at least 12 weeks of symptoms and image-confirmed degenerative spondylolisthesis were o...
